Atlas Copco Group Strengthens Belgian Compressor Service Network

Swedish industrial equipment giant Atlas Copco Group continues expanding its European

compressor distribution and service network through the acquisition of Belgian

compressed air specialist LVC Solutions N.V..

The newly acquired company, headquartered in Genk in eastern Belgium, has built a

strong regional presence in industrial compressed air sales and aftermarket services

since its establishment in 1989. With more than three decades of operational experience,

LVC serves customers across a broad range of general industrial sectors, including

manufacturing, metal processing, automotive support industries, workshop operations.

The acquisition reflects Atlas Copco's ongoing strategy of strengthening localized service

capabilities in key European industrial regions. Eastern Belgium occupies a strategically

important location near Germany and the Netherlands, making it a valuable logistics and

industrial corridor for maintenance, spare-parts supply, energy-efficiency upgrades.

According to Atlas Copco, all 14 employees from LVC will join the group as part of the

transaction, ensuring continuity for existing customers while integrating local expertise

into Atlas Copco's broader Compressor Technique service organization. Philippe Ernens,

President of the Compressor Technique Business Area, noted that the acquisition will

further improve service offerings for both current and future customers throughout

eastern Belgium.

Although financial details of the deal were not disclosed, LVC reported revenues of

approximately ?4.6 million in 2025. The company will now operate under Atlas Copco's

Compressor Technique Service Division, one of the group's most strategically important

business segments as industrial users increasingly prioritize uptime, energy optimization,

and lifecycle support over simple equipment purchasing.

The move also highlights a broader trend across the compressed air industry: major global

manufacturers are accelerating acquisitions of regional distributors and service providers

to secure stronger aftermarket revenues and closer customer relationships. Rather than

focusing solely on manufacturing expansion, companies such as Atlas Copco are investing

heavily in localized maintenance networks, digital monitoring services, and energy

efficiency consulting.

Over the past several months alone, Atlas Copco has completed multiple distributor

acquisitions worldwide, including compressor distributors in Canada and Brazil, as well as

vacuum technology companies in the United States. These deals demonstrate the group's

continued emphasis on strengthening both its compressor and vacuum technology

ecosystems through targeted regional acquisitions.

Industry analysts note that aftermarket services are becoming increasingly important in

the compressed air sector as industrial operators seek to reduce energy consumption,

minimize downtime, and extend equipment life cycles. Since compressed air systems can

account for a significant share of industrial electricity use, customers are demanding more

advanced monitoring, predictive maintenance, and optimization services from suppliers.

For Atlas Copco, the acquisition of LVC not only expands geographic coverage in Belgium,

but also reinforces its long-term strategy of building a highly connected service network

capable of supporting the growing demand for intelligent, energy-efficient compressed air

solutions across Europe.
